Arts & Crafts Fair Frequently Asked Questions


Where will the 2024 Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair take place? 

The Friends of the Sherborn Library is excited to announce the return of its Annual Arts & Craft Fair to the grounds of the newly renovated Sherborn Library in the heart of historic downtown Sherborn. 

The Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Sherborn Library (4 Sanger Street, Sherborn, MA 01770).

What is the application process?

The Sherborn Arts & Craft Fair is a juried fair. Early Bird registration for the Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair will open November 15, 2023. Vendors should submit their application for a 10’ x 10’ booth along with their online payment. Vendors that register early will be notified of their acceptance in January 2024.

Waitlisted vendors and late applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis as space is available. 

Can I pay by check?

Yes. Online registration is payment is preferred, but the Friends of the Sherborn Library will accept checks. Please email sherborncraftfair@gmail.com to register by email and send a check made payable to: Friends of the Sherborn Library and mailed to: Arts and Craft Fair, c/o Friends of the Sherborn Library, P.O. Box 134, Sherborn, MA 01770. 

When will I receive additional information regarding booth location and other logistical information?

Leading up to the fair, a member of our Vendor Relations Team will reach out with helpful information and will address any questions you may have.  One week prior to the fair, you will receive your booth location and relevant details for your fair experience including directions, set-up instructions, and parking information. 

Can vendors select their booth location?

Given the logistics involved with planning the fair layout, the Friends of the Sherborn Library cannot guarantee specific requests for booth locations. The Friends will do their best to ensure a balanced representation of vendors and categories at the Annual Arts & Craft Fair.

Do vendors provide their own tents and set up?

Yes, vendors are responsible for providing their own tent, table, and chairs. Vendors should arrive at their designated set-up time prepared to unload and transport their goods to their booth location. Vendors tents must be secured with stakes and weights (recommended 40lb) and they are responsible for their belongings over the course of the day.

The Friends of the Sherborn Library will request that any vendor that does not secure their tents and belongings break down their tent and setup for the safety of fair attendees and fellow exhibitors.

Are there specific requirements for food vendors?

Food vendors will be emailed Board of Health forms for the Town of Sherborn upon confirmation of their participation. These forms must be completed and submitted to the Friends of the Sherborn Library by March 15, 2024, so that the permit can be reviewed by the Sherborn Board of Health.


Can I share a booth space with another vendor?

No, vendors should reserve their own booths to market their handmade crafts.

Are there restrooms available?

Yes, restrooms will be available onsite at the event.

Is there parking available for vendors?

Yes. Vendors will receive parking details one week prior to the event. Accepted vendors will receive relevant details for the fair including directions, set-up instructions, and parking information one week prior to the event.

Is there a raindate or indoor location in the event of inclement weather?

The Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair will be held outside on the library grounds rain or shine. Vendors should bring a 10’ x 10’ weighted tent for their booth.

Will I receive a refund if I am not selected to participate? 

Yes, vendors not selected by the jury to participate will be refunded their fee for registration. 

What if I am accepted and then can't come? Do I get my money back?

In the event you need to cancel your registration, you must cancel by April 1, 2024, in order to receive a refund on your registration. Please email sherborncraftfair@gmail.com 

No refunds will be given after April 1, 2024. Your payment will be a donation to the Friends of the Sherborn Library, an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization. 

How many vendors will be accepted?

The Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair will feature 75 local vendors, as well as a popular spring plant sale, games, and activities, crafting education, community booths, children’s activities, and several local food trucks and vendors.

Can I sell products that are not handmade or are manufactured?

No. The Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair welcomes local artisans and crafters to showcase and sell their creations. 

Applications are reviewed by a jury of Friends of the Sherborn Library Board Members to ensure a balanced representation of exhibitors and their original artwork and handcrafted items.

Is there food available?

The Sherborn Library Arts & Craft Fair will host local food trucks at the event as well as food vendors.

What is attendance? Is there an admission fee?

The Arts & Craft Fair is always free to attendees. We anticipate approximately 800 guests over the course of the day.
